Danielle is a multidisciplinary self-taught artist from Northern Ireland and a graduate of Belfast Met, where she completed a BTEC Level 5 in Ceramic Product Design. Her creative practice spans a wide range of mediums, including ceramics, fluid art painting, resin art, jewellery design, upholstery, and body art, reflecting a lifelong passion for creativity and craftsmanship.
Her artistic journey began with furniture upcycling and restoration, transforming discarded pieces into contemporary designs, before later training as a tattoo apprentice. In 2019, Danielle discovered a deep connection with clay, which quickly became central to her practice and continues to shape the direction of her work today.
Alongside her work as an artist, Danielle has spent over nine years supporting adults with additional needs in her role as a support worker. The compassion, understanding, and strong sense of community developed through this role naturally influence both her creative practice and the way she engages with others through her work. Her background in Health & Social Care and Counselling further informs her thoughtful and inclusive approach.
Danielle’s practice explores emotion, human connection, alternative perspectives, and the relationship between creativity and wellbeing. Working across ceramics, sculpture, and community engagement, she creates immersive and meaningful experiences that encourage conversation, reflection, and self-expression. Passionate about the therapeutic and grounding qualities of clay, Danielle facilitates inclusive workshops that promote mindfulness, creativity, and connection within a relaxed and supportive environment.
Danielle has completed numerous commissioned works for clients across the UK, including a large-scale wall sculpture for the Khayber Restaurant. She has also exhibited her work in galleries throughout Northern Ireland and the UK. During her time at Belfast Met, she was selected as the winner of a Fellowship Awards trophy design competition, with her design chosen to be presented at the event.
